GETTING DHIKALA SAFARI AND ACCOMMODATION.
e-Permits are necessary for entering Corbett Tiger Reserve. In order to enter inside jim corbett park for wildlife safari all visitors has to follow three steps- first obtain entry permit, two hire authorized jeep for jim corbett safari and then hire a registered guide from park gate. All these three things are mandatory to get inside corbett tiger reserve forest. Except Dhikala safari zone, all other safari zones in jim corbett offer jeep safari permit for day visit inside jim corbett national park for allotted time period. For day visit inside jim corbett first safari e-permits needs to be obtained for respective entry Gates, now can be booked online also and similar process needs to follow for night stay inside jim corbett national park. Day visits to Dhikala Tourism zone on Jeep is not permitted except in canter safari organized by Corbett Tiger Reserve. Only visitors who have night stay booking at dhikala are allowed to do jeep safari in dhikala Zone. It is highly advised that one should book safari permit in advance for day tour due to heavy rush for wildlife tour in Jim Corbett. Booking is done on first-come-first-served principal from Corbett tiger reserve portal as well as from ramnagar office of corbett national park on availability. A registered guide is mandatory with each jeep safari and can be hired at entry gate.
Jim Corbett Authorities allows 2 safari tours each day that commences at 6.30 am and ate evening at 3.30 pm. During summers times are normally preponed by 30 minutes . However 6.30 AM trip is best but during winters you may enjoy Jim Corbett safari during daytime also. There are 30 Jim Corbett Safari permits for each time and altogether there are 60 jeeps permits are issued each day and 100% of e permits are issued each day for each zone. Jim Corbett Safari permit that is issued is for Minimum of 1 pax to max limit of 6 travelers on 4 X 4 Jeep Safari and to avoid any inconvenience getting jim corbett safari permits you should apply for jim corbett safari permit atleast 45 days in advance along with photo ID of each passanger visiting jim corbett park for safari.
Accommodation
Jim Corbett National Park, first and oldest national park in India and only tiger reserves in India that allows night stays inside national park boundary to enhance wildlife sighting experience for visitors. There are no private resorts & hotels inside corbett national park and only available stay options are forest rest house. For night stay inside corbett tiger reserve three tourist complexs located at Dhikala, Gairal and Bijrani offer a choice of accommodation type with restaurant. Dhikala forest rest house has maximum bed capacity including a dormitory. Basic lodging is available for tourists at other Forest Rest Houses at Malani, Sultan, Gairal, Sarpduli, Khinanauli, Kanda and Jhirna, but they come without restaurant and guests have to cook their food on their own. Visitors can also stay at the Forest Rest Houses at Lohachaur, Rathuadhab, Halduparao, Mundiapani, Morghatti, Sendhikhal and Dhela. Advance booking is must for staying inside jim corbett and booking for accommodation inside jim corbett can be made by remitting necessary tariffs in advance. Once accommodation in forest rest house inside jim corbett is reserved, permits can be downloaded online or collected from Ramnagar Reception Office before entering Jim CorbettPark.Accommodation is reserved subject to receipt of full payment in advance. It is advisable to make bookings well in time.
